Mir Jamal Pashayev, Managing Director of Pasha
Holding,
Executive Member of the Board of Directors, Pasha Insurance
Mir Jamal Pashayev graduated from the Faculty
of Physics at Moscow State University named after Lomonosov,
and then received Master's degrees in engineering from University
of California and Business School of the American University
in Washington D.C. In 1999-2000 he worked as a consultant
at the National Bank of Azerbaijan. From 2000 till 2005
he had worked at the European Bank for Reconstruction and
Development, where he started as a financial analyst and
was soon promoted to a role of a banker on infrastructure
projects. Since 2005 he was engaged in consulting activities
for large-scale investment projects in the fields of infrastructure,
telecommunications and financial services. From March 2006
till November 2007 Mr. Jamal Pashayev held the position
of Managing Director at Pasha Insurance.
Starting from December 2007 he has been a Managing Director
of Pasha Holding and executive member of
the Board of Directors, Pasha Insurance.
M. Pashayev: "In a competitive

Nofal Rzayev, Chairman
of the Management Board & CEO
Nofal
Rzayev graduated from the Faculty of Economics at Moscow
State University named after Lomonosov, and then attained
his Master’s at the Management School of the University
of Texas. He worked in the U.S. in the field of international
trade consulting, and then at the American Trade Mission
in Baku. From 1997 till 2001 Nofal had held senior operational
and representative positions for Azerbaijan and Georgia
in Coca-Cola International’s Regional Office for Eurasia.
Since 2002 he worked as a Marketing & Development Director
at distributor company of Dell for Caucasus. Since 2004
Nofal had been engaged in business management and corporate
development consultancy with EBRD and USAID’s projects,
and he had been involved as an advisor for the realization
of EBRD’s investment in the insurance sector in Azerbaijan.
In March 2006 he joined Pasha Insurance
as Chief Operating Officer. In December 2007 Nofal Rzayev
assumed CEO role and in February 2009 was confirmed as a
Chairman of the Management Board of the company.
N. Rzayev: “In the process
of building the company, focus on satisfaction of corporate
and individual clients was taken as the basis of corporate
ideology of Pasha Insurance. This is achieved
thanks to high-level professionalism of both operational
business processes and their performers. As far as the management
team is concerned, I can state that every director of a
functional sector in Pasha Insurance has experience in organizing
and running operations in renowned international and national

Fuad Najafli, Deputy Chairman of the Management
Board & COO
Fuad
Najafli studied at the Middle East Technical University
(ODTU) in Ankara, and then received a diploma in international
law and affairs at Baku State University. He began his career
in insurance at the International Insurance Company of Azerbaijan,
where he started as an underwriting specialist and grew
up to a claims manager role. In 2004-2006 he had worked
as a deputy general director of Star Alliance Insurance
Company. His career in Pasha Insurance started in April
2006 with the position of Underwriting Supervisor and beginning
from September 2006 he led the Underwriting Department of
the company. Deputy Chairman of the Management Board &
COO since February 2009.
F. Najafli: “Pasha
Insurance managed to realize a model of the universal
insurance house, which offers corporate and individual clients
insurance products and services of Western standards adapted
to national requirements. Models of underwriting, reinsurance
and claims management in the company are built on the best
procedure examples time-tested in countries of the region.
The abovementioned is reinforced by highly professional
performance of procedures at all levels of the operational
processes”.
Gulzar Aliyeva, Deputy Chairman of the Management
Board & CFAO
Gulzar
Aliyeva has 20 years of work experience in the financial
segment of insurance market. After graduating from economic
university, Gulzar started her career in financial department
of Azerbaijan State Insurance Company, where from 1984 till
1994 she had grown from an accountant to a Chief Accountant
of the State Insurance Company Baku branch. Starting from
1994 till 2000 she worked as a Chief Accountant and then
as a Financial Director of Azerbaijan-Turkish Insurance
Company Bashak-Inam. From 2000 till 2008 held the position
of a Finance & Administrative Director with the AON
Baku. In July 2008 Gulzar was appointed Finance Director
of Pasha Insurance and starting from February
2009 - Deputy Chairman of the Management Board & CFAO.
G. Aliyeva: “Along with a substantial

Mursal Rustamov, Head of Internal Audit
Mursal
Rustamov has been working as a Head of Internal Audit at
Pasha Insurance since April 2009. He was
assigned to this position by decision of Shareholders General
Meeting and he reports to the Audit Commission of Pasha
Insurance Company.
Mursal has been working in Pasha Insurance
since April 2006, through initial three years in the company
he had developed from a Legal Services Senior Specialist
to a Claims & Legal Services Manager position. He was
awarded with “The Best Employee of The Year” in 2007 and
“The Best Manager of The Year” in 2008. In 2006-2008 Mursal
had taken part in practical courses on insurance claims
at the leading insurance companies in England and Russia.
Mursal graduated from the Baku State University
Law School with distinction and then he finished his Masters
at the same school with concentration in Criminal Process.
In 2004-2005 he had worked as an intern with the Prosecutor's
Office of Baku City and then practiced as a legal-consultant
for MP Consulting Company.
